MALATE, MANILA — Imaginations ran free from the meeting lead by Toastmaster of the Evening Kenley Liong, ACB ALB EC3, on July 23 at The Bon-Ga Korean Restaurant.
The meeting theme of “Imagination” chosen by Toastmaster of the Evening Kenley Liong, ACB ALB EC3 had lead to an evening full creativity and wonder.
Three new members were inducted during the meeting: Diane Go, TM (assigned mentor is Kyle Pandapatan, IP3), Pristine Lacsamana, TM (assigned mentor is Stacy Liong, TC2) and Mark Donn, TM (assigned mentor is Kenley Liong, ACB ALB EC3).
The flamboyant Grammarian Celine Antonio, TM shared an appropriate Word of the Week: “Panache“. The Table Topics Master was Kristine Crispino, TM. There were three volunteers who spoke during the Table Topics Session.
“Which would you choose: being rich or being famous?”
Five speakers delivered their Prepared Speech Projects. Area 93 Director Joevel Fernandez, ACB delivered his Ice Breaker speech and shared about the loved ones who travel with him in the journey of life. Ed Fabonan, DTM delivered his 1st Speech under the “Evaluation and Feedback” Project and spoke about his experience overcoming limiting beliefs. Diane Go, TM also delivered her 1st Speech under the “Evaluation and Feedback” Project where she spoke about social media marketing for businesses. Phebe Pendon, ACS CL delivered an Advanced Speech Project under the Public Relations Manual called “Resources for Goodwill” where she lead an activity to discover the different strengths and talents that can be used by the club. Rojan Mercader, ACB delivered a presentation from the “Research Your Topic” Project where she explained Pathways Program of Toastmasters International.
Guest Toastmaster Angel Pojol, ACS ALB of Diamond Toastmasters Club took the role of General Evaluator for the Evaluation Portion of the meeting. Guest Toastmaster Mar Marilag, MS4 EH1 of Landbank Toastmasters Club served as the Table Topics Evaluator; and he also evaluated the Speech Project of Joevel Fernandez, ACB. Donn Go, TM evaluated the Speech Project of Ed Fabonan, DTM. Princeton Ong, MS2 evaluated the Speech Project of Diane Go, TM. Joevel Fernandez, ACB evaluated the Speech Project of Phebe Pendon, ACS CL. Ed Fabonan, DTM evaluated the presentation of Rojan Mercader, ACB.
